Housing & Dining

Our campus is a thriving community where lifelong connections are made.

A large portion of your UT experience takes place outside the classroom, where many of our students live in on-campus housing and most enjoy meals in our dining facilities.

Campus Housing

The UT residence hall community plays a vital role in your overall university experience. A great way to meet people from around the world is by living on campus.

Your housing contract confirmation and preferences selection information will be sent to your UT e-mail address shortly after you have confirmed your enrollment.

You may confirm your housing contract at any time, but the earlier the better. Priority for housing assignments is based on the date your enrollment confirmation deposit is received.

More information is available on the University Housing website.

Campus Dining

Eating on campus is convenient, affordable, and flexible. With more than forty locations on campus, you’ve got choices.

Retail dining locations include Einstein Bros., Chick-fil-A, McAlister’s, Subway, Petro’s, Quiznos, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, and more. Ready-made fare is available in some of our residence halls and Thompson-Boling Arena. Plus there are convenience stores, markets, fast food, and coffee shops located all around campus.

Information about meal plans is available on the Volunteer Dining website.

Off-Campus Housing

While many of our students enjoy the convenience and comfort of our phenomenal residence halls, UT has a substantial commuter population.

If you are considering living off campus, Off-Campus and Commuter Services is an invaluable resource.
