Cost of Attendance

The cost of attending UT is based on whether you are a Tennessee resident or an out-of-state student.

Initial residency classification is determined by the admissions staff from information submitted on your application for admission. Undergraduate students who would like their residency classification reconsidered may submit an appeal to the Office of the University Registrar.

Tuition & Fees

Current tuition rates and applicable fees for incoming students, along with information about paying your bill, are available on the One Stop website.

In addition to tuition and fees, students should also consider other costs associated with attending college while planning, including room and board, books, and personal and transportation expenses. Cost estimators and calculators are also available on the One Stop website.

Discounts & Waivers

Beyond financial aid and scholarships, students may also be able to take advantage of discounts and waivers available through UT and the state of Tennessee.
