I’m a first-generation college, a military veteran, and a non-traditional student. The GI Bill enabled me to get an education that I thought was out of reach financially. I have a lot in common with the students who come my way, and I draw on my experience as both student and transfer counselor to assist them with questions regarding admission, transfer credit, financial aid and scholarships.
I am also proud to represent the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, the state’s flagship university and one of the nation’s top public universities. I love the location of our campus. UT is in the heart of Knoxville, a thriving city with a lot of charm and hospitality.
As head of recruitment in the Transfer Center, I am always connecting students with their counselors, helping them to solve problems, and welcoming them to the University of Tennessee. I also host our weekly Transfer presentation in the Visitor’s Center for our Friday tours. If you have not visited UT, then I highly recommend scheduling a tour. I look forward to meeting you!

I’m a native Memphian who graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. I earned my master’s degree from the University of Memphis. I have been working in higher education since 2014, and I love working for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. My favorite things about UT include the traditions and campus pride. I enjoy working with prospective students, telling them about Knoxville and all that our institution has to offer!

I am originally from Unicoi County in East Tennessee and currently live in Boyds Creek (Seymour) with my lovely wife, Dr. Shannon Sullivan, and our son, Tanner. I have more than 15 years’ experience teaching and coaching at the high school level, and more than a decade experience in higher education. My family and I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, fishing, and of course, following the Tennessee Volunteers sports teams.
I work with students from our local community colleges who are interested in transferring to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville to continue their education. The campuses I primarily serve are Roane State, Walters State, Northeast State, Chattanooga State, and Cleveland State. I enjoy working with all of our community college partners and students. If I can ever be of any assistance to you or someone you know, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am excited to be part of the UT Transfer Center team and look forward to helping many future Volunteers become part of the Big Orange Family. Go Vols!

I am a proud University of Tennessee graduate and have called Knoxville home for the past 28 years. I left UT with a bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology in 2005, then later, in 2013, I received a master’s degree in Education, in Mental Health Counseling, from Lincoln Memorial University.
I spent 12 years working in community mental health, including foster care & adoptions, alcohol and drug prevention and trauma focused therapy with children, teens and young adults. I then shifted gears to higher education in 2019 when I started working as an academic advisor at Pellissippi State Community College.
I am a proud member of the Transfer Center team and serve as the recruiter for Pellissippi State Community College, my home base. I greatly enjoy working with students and witnessing firsthand as their dream of higher education becomes a reality. Go Vols!
