Transfer students may receive course credit on the basis of performance on college placement exams.
Good scores on college placement exams, are not required for admission to UT, however, they can earn you college credit and a head start on your academic career.
We offer credit for satisfactory performance on Advanced Placement examinations (AP), International Baccalaureate examinations (IB), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), and Cambridge International AS and A Level. UT does not award credit for tests taken through the DANTES program.

A student may request the removal of prior learning credit by completing the credit removal form on the Registrar’s Office website.
